Billionaire Jack Ma, founder and executive chairman of China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba Group would arrive in Vietnam on Nov 6 to attend Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.
In advance, Jack Ma will spend time joining some side activities in Hanoi. Particularly, the Chinese billionaire will attend Vietnam E-Payment Forum (VEPE) hold on morning of Nov 6. During the event, Jack Ma would have discussion and sharing experience in developing electronic payment in e-commerce as well as story of globalization of giant Alibaba.
On the same day, the Alibaba founder will held a talk show with Hanoi’s students to arouse young Vietnamese's spirit and dream. Then, Chinese businessman fly to Da Nang city and officially enter key activities of APEC.
Jack Ma was born in 1964 at Hangzhou (China). He used to be a English teacher before co-founding e-commerce brand called Alibaba in 1999.
Alibaba's revenue in the 12 months ending in March 2017 rose by 56% to $23 billion.Alibaba's IPO in New York in 2014 set a record as the world's biggest public stock offering.Ma's investments beyond Alibaba include China entertainment industry firms Huayi Brothers and Beijing Enlight Media. He also owns a vineyard in France; other interests include martial arts.
According to related information, The White House has confirmed that U.S. President Donald Trump will visit Vietnam this November to attend APEC summit as part of his regional tour. The six-day APEC summit will open on November 6 in the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang, with other world leaders including China's Xi Jinping and Russia's Vladimir Putin expected to attend.
